What happened afterward (next article): In 1983, Ed Masry and Patricia Sperato were acquitted of the bribery charge. Masry was convicted of grand theft by false pretenses from Morningland for the $10,000. A further complaint against Patricia had Masry testifying against her. That complaint was dismissed by the court as it found the key testimony breached attorney-client privilege. A 2nd suit was dismissed as the statute of limitations had since passed.
